The episode was meh. But JD's T-shirt! Man I need one of those. :)

Was it the best Scrubs ever? No. Was it better than 99% of the other crap on the networks? Yes.
The actor who played Elliott's drug seeking patient, what else has he been in? I recognize him from somewhere.

I agree Dew. I wasn't trying to slam Scrubs, just not as good as usual IMHO. Sometimes I think it tries a little too hard to be funny. I am worried about it coming back. It is doing poorly ratings wise. Last week it scored a 7.4.
I couldn't place the guy either. Looks sort of like Skippy but shorter and fatter

Oh I didn't thikn you were saying it was horrible.
You're right about skippy. I swear I've seen this guy on a sitcom before, perhaps as somebody's assistant? he played a very timid guy too.

I had that quote in my signature for a while. I have a friend who has that shirt.

Thanks Mwhip. For some reason my work blocks that site so I'll have to check it out at home.

I think the show felt odd because characters who usually get scenes to play off of other folks instead had "solo" parts, which are usually reserved for JD and Elliott: we saw both the Janitor and Karla without anyone else. It's also a little off to see JD siding with Karla over Turk on anything.
It was good to see the Janitor's buddy again, even if was just sitting there in the video. :p

Did anyone else notice JD's "pat" at the end? Thank you TIVO.

That shirt was awesome. I wonder if there are shirts out there with that or if they did that up just for the show? If it isn't out there now, it will be soon.

mwhip posted a link a few posts up B. :)

I noticed it and had to IR it twice to see if he had really done that. :)

Janitor Guy seemed a little desperate to pull one over on Turk and JD. I thought it was a little out of character for him to try that hard. And he wasn't successful, which was also out of character.
SparkleMotion, I think you meant to say SPEECH writer. LOL But with politics, maybe your wording wasn't too inappropriate.

LOL! Good catch. I sure did mean "speech" sted of "script". But these days, so many politicos come from acting (Reagan, Fred Grandy, Fred Thompson, Clint Eastwood, Schwarzeneggar, Sonny Bono, et. al.), they might prefer a script to a speech! :)

I thought it was a good episode...although, I only started watching this season. I had to pause it when Cox did the little jig, I was laughing so much.

Oh my God, I had forgotten about that. I had to pause and instant replay it I was laughing so hard!

Blame Trump! Blame reality TV!
Used to be on Thursdays. Then they put that crappy reality show on in it's spot. Now the show's stuck against 24 on Tuesdays.

When did 7.4 rating become bad?
Posted by: whitson77
When you are 75th on the ratings in a prime time slot. 7.4 isn't good.
Update:
Last weeks show was 76th with a 5.8. Please don't tell me you think that is good. As much as I love the show, it is in trouble.

I know they gained at least one viewer by moving to Tuesdays. I'm not giving up Survivor or CSI for anything, even if it is Scrubs...

Wasn't last week a rerun, though? And I agree with the last poster-they gained a viewer with me, sort of-it's still hard to catch it but I catch it more on Tuesdays than on Thursdays.
Question: Does anyone still have this episode recorded? Can you go back and look at something for me? I think there may have been a cultural reference in the names of the two people who they said drowned in the Grand Canyon, but I can't remember what names they said. Can someone take a look at that for me? I'd really appreciate it! I just need to know the names they mentioned.
And keep in mind that The Apprentice will be over in time for sweeps, and Scrubs will be back in its old spot.

I don't think there's any danger of Scrubs getting cancelled. With Friends and Frasier leaving, W&G and Scrubs are the only decent returning comedies NBC will have next year. They couldn't afford to get rid of either of them.
I loved Cox's jig. I agree that Janitor seemed a little desperate in this episode. That's pretty out of character for him.

I think the idea was that he was having an off-day...in which case, I like the concept. Can't be the perfect a-hole 24/7! (Even Kelso proves that once in awhile!)

Did NBC state that it will put Scrubs back on Thrusday? My impression was that Scrubs was moved to Tuesday, partially to build an audience on that day and replace Frasier next year. It doesn't look like it's working too well based on the ratings. (And yes, I know it was also moved because of the sucess The Apprentice has had in that time spot).
The problem is the two remaining comedies that NBC has that are considered strong (Scrubs and W&G) are just NOT strong enough to carry a time slot. IMO, I think NBC is in REAL trouble next year!! They are now losing their one strong night (not sure if it's lost yet to CBS completely or not, but definitely will be next year), and Tuesday night is gone as well. Outside of their reality shows, ER and the L&O clones, what other REAL ratings grabbers do they have anymore?

Here are the dates of interest:
5/17 - NBC upfront presentation
5/20 - FOX upront presentation
NBC is adding the least number of new shows next year, for some odd reason I think they are going to keep Whoopi and Happy Family.
Plus FOX is going to the year round thing.

I have been mad about the apprentice for a long time. I am glad it is doing well, but it makes me mad that another reality show takes priority over good shows. First it put Miss Match on hiatus, and then the Scrubs move.
Anyway, I have been real curious what the NBC time slots will look like next year. I wish they would give Scrubs either the Thursday at 8/7 or 9/8 slot, but I am sure that will go to Joey and W&G. So lets hope for the Tues at 9/8.

What do you mean year round thing?
Oh, and I don't care when Scrubs is on, as long as it starts and ends at xx:00 or xx:30.
