Did the Daily Show finally get its act together?

I was going about my usual weekly routine of deleting all of TDS episodes (except for the 11PM showing) when I realized that only the first run was scheduled. When I looked at the Info for the show, they had details on the guests!

Did they finally get their act together and start reporting on their schedule or is this just a fluke??

Could it have something to do with the no guide data being mentioned in the Tivo newsletter and finally someone decided to fix it. Or it could just be that it is the yearly "fix" that lasts for one week only.

Based on what people have said in other threads, it's been at least a few weeks.

Although when I finally decided to reinstate my regular SP (instead of the 4 manual ones) last week, it wanted to record both the 11pm and the 1am showings. Now it looks like it's just picking up the regular 11pm showings. yay!

I see that I am not the only one with the problem of Tivo recording every last instance of the Daily Show, despite having the SP setup for First Run Only. Is there a way to make sure that it doesnt record the same episode four times a day? The only way around I have found so far is to limit the Episodes Save to one... Thanks!

I just checked my email and found that the new Tivo newsletter deals with exactly this problem. They didnt have too many ideas outside of recording manually.

Oh well...it was indeed too good to be true. In the latest update, I see that the Show description has become generic again. :-(

As of last night, I had specific info for 28/30 upcoming episodes thru 4/12 on my DTiVo. Only the last 2 episodes on 4/12 had generic guide data.

For approximately the first 3 weeks of March my FRO SP was working flawlessly. It crapped out last week, but apparently sometime this week it started working again. That's better than the guide datas has *ever* been for TDS.

I have had a manual recording for TDS for years now (4 of them actually, one for each of Mon-Thurs) and I will not change it. It works fine. The only problem would be if they changed the show's time slot, which does not seem likely.

Or ran a one-hour episode, which is a bit more likely, but without changing the series title for it again breaking the Season Pass, which is again not likely.
