How come every "new" episode of Fresh Gear seems to be 50% new features and 50% recycled features? Without commercials, I now watch it in about 10 minutes.

My other complaint: how come the last comment about every new product is, "Ouch, pricey!", or something similar. Of course, they never say that about the iPod, which seems to be the only gadget they really like -- that and that stupid "buzzer game" from the International Toy Fair, which has been on like 3 episodes of Fresh Gear.

Aaargh!

I want fewer shots of them being goofy and more segments on neat tech items.

Fresh Gear hasn't been the same since Louderback was hosting/producing. Sumi Das was okay, but it still seemed like a compilation of old segments. The other day I saw a segment that was first aired several months ago.

Fresh Gear is a total and complete waste of airtime, as so many TechTV shows have become. I switched my SP from Screen Savers to Call for Help when Leo left TSS. He's mentioned CFH will become more like the old TSS (when Kate was co-host), so I'm hopeful it comes true. Of course, who knows what will happen after the G4 merge.

There realy isn't eough content for TSS and CFH... they should be squished into one show, and eliminate some filler / goofiness.

I mean, I'm all for having a good time, but they have gotten out of hand lately. There's very little real information, and if they do happen to have a segment on a cool " how to " they gloss over it 98 miles an hour, and then say " check the show notes for details " :rolleyes:

BTW I didn't know Leo was officially off of TSS. ???

I think there has been TOO MUCH staff-shifting lately... I don't even know what show I'm watching when I turn the TV on !

side note... Martin Sargeant, you're NOT Howard Stern... get off the air (although I think HS is an overrated waste also ) *shrug*

Leo is off of TechTV totally (for now).

From Leo's Site: "My contract runs out at midnight and due to lack of agreement on one small - but critical - piece of the new contract, I am no longer working for TechTV."

Leo also states:

"TV is a critical part of my media "empire" and I have no intention of being off TV for very long.

On the plus side there is no rancor at all in these negotiations. I love TechTV and I think it safe to say they love me. We both really want to make this work and the contractual stuff is just a little tricky because of the sale. There's no estrangement here at all."

Good news for us Leo fans.

I'm pretty confident they'll work it out. His contract, apparently, was only for the remaining six weeks until the merge is approved. He has not been made an offer from Comcast or G4 as of yet, and doesn't plan on relocating if the TechTV offices in SF are shut down.

Fresh Grear has gone down hill, I watch it now and then but what they feature seems to be stupid crap, like the finger shock game. Or something old like the TeleNav GPS software for Nextel phones. When I first stated looking into Nexel, about a YEAR ago, I remember reading about TeleNav.
