Black Screen and Flickering Green Light

Ok, I had a hard drive failure on my 60 GB unit about a month ago. I was able to extract the image before it went completely south and dropped in two 120GB Seagate HD's and everything has been good. This evening, I was watching a recorded program when the green light flickered two or three times. I did not hit any remote buttons, and the amber light did not flicker, only the green light. (I have it on a UPS, if that changes anything.) Then, while still recording Futurama, I paused it for about ten or fifteen minutes. While it was still recording the same Futurama, I hit Play and it played for a second then froze, then the screen went black. I waited about five minutes to see if it would come back on then I unplugged it, and it rebooted fine. I checked the recording and it recorded everything up until I pulled the plug on it to reboot, including video from when the screen was black.

Anyone know what this is? When I first plugged it in after upgrading it I noticed the green light flicker a couple times but thought it was something I just never noticed the first time. Is it just a normal hiccup, like when a computer occasionally freezes? Please, please don't tell me this is a hard drive failure warning sign, I JUST frickin got this thing working again.

Thanks.

Those lights act goofy sometimes. The usual cure, as you discovered, is a reboot. I doubt it has anything to do with your hard drive upgrade.

So you don't think the freeze then the black screen was any kind of sign of a systemic problem?
