Speaking as a woman (I know most of you men are heartbroken), I think this never should have been aired in the first place. It's soft-core porn passing itself off as a fashion show! So if one good thing came out of JJ fiasco, it is this! :D

Fashion File on E! is much sexier. Always lots of see-through things.

Of course Ashcroft and/or the FCC will probably clamp down on that too. Let's all become Victorian (hey - Victorian Secrets). Violence is no problem, but nipples will destroy us all.

I don't mean to call you out seeing how you are a fellow Massachusetts resident but my better half has a point. Soap operas do pass more for soft-core porn than the V.S. show did. AND they air early afternoon. I think the V.S. show has always aired past 9 o'clock. As someone said earlier there is always the power of the remote control. (especially with TiVo).

It would have been better if it was cancelled cuz of ratings not this Janet/FCC bull shyt. Didn't the headlines go something like "The models were HOT but the ratings were NOT" when this thing first aired?

First of all I'm just as sick of the FCC Bullcrap in censoring programs as everyone else. I never got to see Medavoy's butt on NYPD!! :( I'm not some Victorian (pun intended) prude.

That said, I also watch soaps daily. I doubt, however that people are turning on soap operas to see women in various forms of undress or beneath the sheets. That's the only purpose of the VS fashion show. It's like a peep show.

Off my soap box now. Watch whatever you want to watch. Whatever floats your boat. :) As another poster so eloquently put it, 'Use the Remote'. Although it's not necessary in my house, because the channel doesn't ever get put on [at least in the room I am in--wherever hubby and 2 teenage boys are is another matter].

I wonder how many shows in the future will use the JJ/FCC excuse when their ratings suck!

I was really going to go off on the "its soft core porn" comments until I saw that you guys were from Massachusetts. You'd probably get put on trial and burned/drowned there if you believed otherwise.

But anybody else buying into those comments needs to take a step back and ask yourself if you really know what soft-core porn is. Cause it ain't full covering lingerie and butt shots that the camera only ever stays on for a split second because they are wearing g-strings.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't have a leg to stand on if I tried to argue that you can't say the VS fashion show is inappropriate for television (especially in prime time) but gross over exaggerations only hurt your credibility when trying to make a legitimate point. There is a huge canyon between even the most racy broadcast TV stuff and even the softest porn. Even Skinemax only shows soft porn late at night.

I thought that only happened to higher rated shows. :)
