I'm so happy that we finally got a new episode - even if it was just so-so.

I think I would have liked the episode more had Madeline and Louise not shown up in Florida. But seeing Paris try to "experience" Spring Break was a lot of fun. The highlight of the episode was definitely Paris kissing Rory - hilarious!

The Lorelai/Jason stuff was kind of boring, but I liked seeing Lorelei and Luke together at the end.

I enjoyed this episode. For some reason the sound wasn't working for the first 10 minutes so my wife and I read the close captioning out loud. It was pretty fun doing the Lorelai/Luke sock discussion.:)

I was concerned that with Rory going off to college this season, that the show would have some major writing issues. They've managed to still make it a good show.

Seeing Madeline and Louise in Florida for Spring Break was way too easy. It wouldn't have surprised me if they ran into them at some point, but not on their first day.

Lorelai/Jason's awkward moments with the key were very in character with Jason. Yes, it seemed a little boring, but it paid off with his coming clean. I don't think Lorelai or Luke will get together. If they do, the show is done. The only way to make it work is to have them together for an episode or two, then try to go back to their original relationship. Currently, the way they are works for the show. There's no need to screw that up.

Agatha, I completely agree about Luke and Lorelei NOT getting together, for just the reasons you described. However, scenes with Luke and Lorelei are some of my favorite and the dialogue is usually some of the best of the show. So, anytime that they have scenes together, I am very happy!

I loved his answering machine message. I also thought it was telling that Lorelai was just going to blow Luke off after the 'romantic' evening with Jason until he got to the jail part.
