I need Angel 4/14

Due to a conflict I didn't notice, I missed last night's Angel. Does anyone have a digital copy they can upload to me?
If so, drop me an e-mail or pm me and I'll give you the particulars.
Thanks.

Thanks. Is this a bit torrent thing? I haven't yet taken the time to learn how that stuff works.

Yup, that's it. I've never had much luck with it.
I could send you a tape but if I were you I'd only want it as a last resort. For me WB programs are broadcast in the overnight hours on the ABC affiliate. The picture quality is beyond horrible. I can't imagine what it would look like after the transfer to tape. If that is your only option though I'd be glad to send it to you.

Install the client from http://azureus.sourceforge.net and the Sun Java distribution if you don't already have it.
Then when you go to any of these BitTorrent sites, all you do is clickon the "torrent" file, it'll start the BitTorrent client (Azureus in this case) which will prompt you for where to save the file (or directory of files), and then begin trying to make connections to other peers with parts of the file. Eventually it finishes and you can remove the torrent from the list.
While you're downloading, you also are making available the pieces you have for others to download from you, and you have some general control over the amount of bandwidth it will use to do that.
While there's all sorts of things you can download including a lot of copyright violations... it's an invaluable tool to get TV episodes you might have missed.
Look for torrents that are labeled as the HDTV or WS version as they're created from the digital broadcast signal and are significantly nicer looking (and widescreen). The 1-hour shows encoded this way are usually about 350MB. The 1-hour shows encoded from a 4:3 analog signal are usually about 450MB, so you get a better image in a signficantly smaller file. ;)

I'm gonna try the torrent thing dswallow talked about tomorrow, but could you keep that around just in case I discover i really am an idiot?

No problem. I'm saving the entire season to watch all at once.

If you can't get it through torrent, I'd be happy to throw it up on my FTP for you. Might look better than ClutchBrake's copy, from the sounds of it.

Now that I know about Bit Torrent I can get rid of Tivo! Who needs it when you can download all the episodes! :) j/k
Bit Torrent is great though.
