Sledge Hammer!

How many people remember the show Sledge Hammer! I have a ARWL for the show, but its never picked anything up. This evening I decided to google for it and see whats new. I found a really funny website over at http://www.sledgehammeronline.com

The DVD of season one will be available July 27th. They are hard at work on video restoration, episode commentaries, and removing the laugh track.

For those who dont recall the show its a spoof of Dirty Harry. I'm sort of wondering if it will be as good as my memories of the show. But the website was definately funny. Looks like Alan Spencer is using the site to drive DVD interest. Very funny and a good history of the show.

Anyone else remember this show?

I use to use this line alot but no one would get it....
Plus the first season had the best cliffhanger I've ever seen :D

remember the time he blew up the _____ (spoiler, dont know how to hide it)and next season they said "3 years earlier".. so the season was 3 years before the last episodes, so basically a prequel season. Good funny series w/ a cool theme song. I think it only lasted 2 seasons

One of my all time favorite shows. I too wonder if it will hold up over time. I'm not much of a DVD buyer, but if it shows up on Netflix I'll definetly grab it.

One of my absolute favorites. I have been getting the episodes off Bit Torrent the last couple weeks. THey are just as good as ever.

Glad to know my Dad and I werent the only people that found this show roll on the ground funny.

I loved this show.

I was very young when it was on, but I remember having a toy gun with a white handle that I slept with on a pillow next to me.

I remember one time they were investigating something in a banquet hall, Sledge and the Captain (not Doreau).

Sledge goes up to the podium and says into the mic, "The bombing will begin in 5 minutes...ticktickticktick, shpoooooah!"

Too funny! :up: I still have a bunch on VHS.
