Ok, did anyone else find it weird that Jack and Tru got the call for the pickup during the day, but by the time the car went over, it was already night??

Other than that, good episode. I think Jack has something where he knows when a person is suppossed to die or something...

I'd be interested in synop since it overlapped with CSI, CSI recorded instead. Fox doesn't have one up yet :-(

My theory on Jack is that he can't die, or at least can't die permanently. My two sub-theories are that either Jack restarts days whenever he dies or that events arrange themselves so as to prevent him from dying. Perhaps he knew that he would not be shot or maybe he was hoping that he would be, to end the viscous cycle of restarting days. I think that is why he attended random funerals; he wants to die, but can't, so he surrounds himself with the death of others.

Now, how does this tie in with Tru? Well, if his condition was some form of curse or maybe a Faustian deal (he wanted immortality, but didn't get what he bargained for), maybe he has to prevent X number of people from being saved in order to get out of the curse or deal. Or, maybe he feels he is doing a service to others by causing them to die when it is "their time."

Maybe it is their time, and if they miss their window, they end up like Jack, unable to die. So, maybe he really is doing a service. Although, if that were true, then they wouldn't be able to continue the series once Tru found out unless she found some way around it (perhaps resulting in Jack's death).

Of course, if Jack can die, then my whole theory is blown out of the water.

the writers on this show are good. this whole jack thing had me worried at first, i thought they were gonna have him on for the sake of having him on. but they have really given him something to play with.

i wonder if this role had been in the works since the beginning (with a noname actor) or if it was written just for him?

the only thing i dont like about this show, is the way the victims ask for help, they do it so cheesy-like (for sake of a better word.) other than that, a great show in my book.

I get a feeling he is actually Death. Tru saved the college student and he called her parents which led them calling her which led her to still kill herself. He knew the actress was supposed to die and even where her body was supposed to be lieing. I seriously believe his character is Death itself.

I just thought it humorously ironic that Tru said the Jeep was a lemon and then we get "Tru Calling is brought to you by Jeep" on the bumper for the commercial break.
