Does anyone know if you can back up your Tivo drive by using either telenet or http.

Would like to backup the drive on a semi regular basis but do not want to have to take the tivo apart each time.

I've tried to search a few boards and either can't find the right search string or don't know how to ask. Could someone please help with shortening my learning time.

You are going to have to give a bit more info than that. Model number? Series?

The short:

Series 2: No

Series 1: I don't know. Certainly you can get ftp and http access, but backing up in a useful recoverable format?

Yes it is a series 2 and my worst fear has come true GSOD.

Oh well I guess I'll start over.
