Need TIVO Image

I have a Phillips HDR112 with a drive that isn't functioning. Can I find the Image for the drive on-line? Then copy it to a new hard drive(what size would you recommend) and then upgrade the unit completely with an additional drive. OR should I buy a new DirecTV/TIVO unit on special for $79.00. Is it easily upgradeable? Do I have to buy another TIVO subscription?

Any advice would be appreciated.

question 2: Yes, dual 120's

question 3: Yes, buy a new TiVo, too

question 4: Yes, it is upgradable.

question 5: Don't think you have to buy another Sub, if you have Livetime.
