Another GXCEBOT stuck at welcome, powering up

It appears my only stock, un-modded Tivo has died, I believe, but looking for second opinions. It was stuck at the welcome, powering up screen, so I pulled the 40 gig and stuck it in my computer. Computer didn't recognize it and it "makie no noise", so looks like the drive is dead. No worries, grabbed an 80gb and restored a GXCEBOT image to it. Put new drive with clean image on it in Tivo, and still stuck at welcome, powering up.
Opinions? Dead GXCEBOT? Buy new DSR704 for 99 bucks and trash the old one?
Lost a GXCEBOT and a DSR6000 in the last month...this is getting old.

Check all the cables between the drive and motherboard. Also check the power connector between the power supply and motherboard. Remove and reseat each cable. Just be careful around the power supply!

No joy. Guess I get to spend 99 more dollars.

I had the same problem. It was because the hard drive went bad. Hope this helps.

You can replace your hard drive with a new hard drive. Use the Maxtor PC Diagnostics to verify that your TiVo HD is bad.
If you do not have a replacement image look here: http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-v...20&pagenumber=7

Are you sure the drive jumper settings are right?

Cable select. Think I might pull the pair of drives out of my upgraded GXCEBOT and stick those in it, that will let me know for sure.
