Hello, I am interested in having someone upgrade my series 2 80 hour Tivo locally. I have read through the guide numerous times and still don't think it's wise to crack the box. And I'm leary of sending the whole unit off to get serviced, so hopefully someone is willing to work locally with me in Brooklyn, NY? I am also on a Mac 17" powerbook. Please let me know if anyone can help.

I would suggest checking the "Top Sponsers" right here on TC.

I know plenty of TC members have been very happy with there upgrades and so forth with no real problems (that I have heard of)

I am sure a few will see this thread and pipe in some actual names of reputable companies to do this for you.
