Hello
I've got a TiVo in the UK made by Thomson. Is there any point to bringing it back to the US and reprogramming it?

Hi,

If it is a satellite model then it won't do anything in the US.

If it is a SA model then it can be re-programmed to play back your existing shows but the tuner will not be able to receive US stations so it will not be able to record anything.

If you are interested in selling it please PM me... I would like to add a UK tivo to my test suite.

Also the serial number cannot be authorised by Tivo USA. Personally, I'd sell it there and get a US one when you settle stateside.
