Damn. I really really liked Luke.

Think they'll ever move this show to another night? I'd like to see it sometime but there's just too much other crap on on Thursday nights. I'm hoping to catch up with it this summer.

hehe... do I think a network will move a show around?
You're kidding, right? The day a network reliably can be counted on to leave a new show in the same timeslot is the day you should be wondering aboutt.

well the show deff got a little more interesting. i knew something was fishy about her father.
Posted by: jwjody
in the season premiere didn't tru relive the same day more than once? She relived it until she saved the girl. Now Jack is asking her to ignore a day. So I guess they changed it and she has only one chance?
And Jack said that if Tru saved the person that another person would have to die to take their place, but wouldn't that negate his purpose? I thought he was there to stop her from saving that particular person.
There's a couple more small gripes I have, but moving on...
This is a cool show. Has it been renewed? I hope so cause if the writing stays the same then S2 has the ability to be better than the first. Total surprise the father use to relive also, but fitting somehow.

Wow. That was quite cool. I just hope it gets renewed.

Cool twist. Looking forward to next season. Probably will get canceled now.

I think it's Jacks job to ensure that it works out that way. Were it not for Jack, then Tru could probably save lives without others dying, as she did for most of the season.
Good show... Good show... Anyone know for sure if it's been/going to be renewed?
FOX has a habit of bungling these things...

This was a great season finale (i hope the show gets picked up).
Jwjody, there was only one episode where she relived the day more than once and it was because she wasn't saving the person she was supposed to save (the person asking for help wasn't the person needing to be saved, much like last nights).
I knew there was something fishy about the father, but never figured him to be like Jack. Do you believe that he had his wife (and now possibly his daughter) killed??? Bastard!!!
Good show, needs a better night.

This shows gets those twists in.
I can't believe the father was in on this!
Sucks they killed off Luke, I was hoping he'd asked to be saved . . . alas it didn't happen.
My question now though is that Tru got the power from her mom, and since Jack has it and knows Tru's dad does that mean (*drum roll please*) Jack is her brother that she doesn't know about?!?!?

Great season finale, hopefully not series finale. When I saw the car drive up to Jack at the end I just knew her dad was in there. I really hope this show gets renewed!!

Didn't they say in an earlier episode that the dad hired that guy to kill the mother?

That's almost expected isn't it? In a lot of the Eastern religions the opposites are siblings aren't they?

I don't think this show will get renewed for next season. Why would they air the last two episodes as one 2 hour on the same night as the last Friends episode?
I would love to be wrong about the show getting renewed because it's a great show.

Quite the opposite. They aired the last two episodes the week BEFORE the Friends finale. Next week they are showing a movie during the entire Friends finale.

I knew what Jack was the first episode he showed up. If you listen to everything Davis says you'll see everything coming a mile away. In Jack's first appearance Davis said something very heavy about fate. From that point forward I knew Jack was Fate.
I did not, however, expect Tru's father to be what he was. It was obvious something was fishy about him but I wouldn't have guessed that.
Perhaps if we have a season 2 they will get Meredith's name out of the guide data. I have no idea why it has Eliza Dushku, Shawn Reaves, and Jessica Collins. It should have been Davis.
Oh, and it's Luc, not Luke. Don't you know names have to be trendy now? ;)

Everything I have read made me think it was on last night. Since I don't watch Friends I didn't know.

Is there doubt about this show next season, I hope not I REALLY like it. I actually cancled my CSI episode last night to catch this since I was at the airport when it aired.
She has rewounded days several times before when the dead kept asking for her help when she wasn't making it right.

It could be that others did die when she saved someone, we just don't know who. And, then to follow Jack's logic, maybe those people were the ones that were supposed to die. Why is Jack the one that knows what is right? Tru is supposed to save people because of what those people will become later in life. Jack is preventing that so that they don't.
Dang, S2 is going to get interesting. I hope.

Let me just say once again that Jack is not evil. Just like Tru isn't good. I like the description of them being different sides of Fate. Don't get me wrong Jack has a nasty streak about him, but I do truely beleive that he does feel bad about what he has to do. However, he has come to the relization that he has to do this. Just like Tru came to the realization she has to do this too.
I really, really hope we get season 2.
Please Fox. PLEASE FOX!!!! :)

WOW WOW great show. I really got into this show the last two months (every since Jack showed up) Can't wait for S2.....But I feel that Fox will F*** us on this.

Crap! I forgot to schedule this on my other TiVo, so it lost out because it was 2-hrs long and conflicted with other shows! :(
I was really looking forward to this too. I checked the SP and it showed NO eps in the future. :( Does anyone have any idea when this might replay? (Hopefully before September.)

Wow, very impressive finale. Lots of revelation. I just wish they could have killed off Meredith instead of Luc since they've already taken her out of the credits.
I really hope we get a second season of this. They've setup some great stuff to come.

and Luc didn't ask for help, why?
So, Mr. Davies did the same thing Jack did. Interesting twist but does he also rewind days?

Well guessing from just the little bit at the end... He doesn't rewind days any longer because the Mother is dead. Jack, I beleive, said something about Tru's Father having beat his opposite, Tru's Mother. Just my opinion. Probably not even worthy two cents. ;)

WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING? Of course he's evil. Your comment only holds water in that "there's really no such thing as good or evil" hippie tree hugging crap type talk! Anyone who sees to it that people die even when there is an obvious force trying to save them and even goes so far as to try and hurt someone close to Tru just for spite (her brother, Luke) is certainly a "bad guy" I mean gees, he's taking cues from a man who took out a contract out on his wife!
Not to mention I'm not buying his "I feel bad" stuff. You can see in his face that he obviously doesn't and gets some sick pleasure out of it like a serial killer.

Thank you, Cartman.
I understood what he was trying to say - they both have a job to do, one to help people (who would have otherwise died) live, and one to preserve order by making sure that the natural course of things - death - is carried out. They're yin and yang, chaos and order, heads and tails.
Don't get me wrong, I think Jack's got a sadistic streak, but even when he would smile about her determination, I think it was more about her being a welcome/interesting challenge than anything else. He feels righteous about what he's doing - in his mind, he's doing good by making sure that people are able to die in peace and that order in the universe is maintained. There's no value judgement or malice for him because he feels that he is doing right.
I think he also orchestrated Luke's death as a way to show Tru how much it hurts when one person is saved and another is lost - an object lesson.
Ok all that being said, I can't wait to see how this turns out! Very exciting and thought provoking stuff happened in the last episode!

Wow! What a great ending! Just the kind of cliffhanger that will ensure that this show will be canceled and leave us all hanging....
As soon as Jack said that Harrison could live if somebody died in his place, I was almost certain it would be Luc. Although, there was a split-second of hope that he might live when Tru showed up.
Nice twist with the dad reliving days. Throughout the whole season, it seemed to me like the mother's death had something to do with her calling. Then, when they threw in the whole "Dad hired a thug to have her killed," I went "Huh?" Now it makes more sense. I wonder if the dad didn't know about Tru until Tru saved his wife (or girlfriend? I don't remember if they were married). After that, he might have started to be suspicious, and sent Jack over to Tru.
Now, the question is what was Jack doing before Tru got her calling? Was there somebody else in between Tru and her mother that Jack was working against? Although, so far Tru has never relived one of Jack's days, which leads me to believe that Tru's days aren't really her days, but rather both of their days.
Also, Jack is supposed to be the opposite of Tru, but as far as we know he hasn't caused somebody to die that originally didn't. Well, there was Luc, but that was a death in place of a life Tru had saved. Or, was Jack reliving his own days to cause people to die that originally hadn't during the time between Tru's mother and Tru having the calling?
So far though, it would seem that Jack only tries to stop Tru, but doesn't do anything on his own. This means that there are three possibilities: Jack stops Tru, Jack doesn't stop Tru, and Jack causes another life to be taken in place of the life Tru saves. But, since Jack never causes a life to be taken on his own, any life Tru saves will cause the balance to be shifted toward her, making Jack not really her opposite, but more her impeder.
On the other hand, going back to the idea that the days aren't really Tru's days, perhaps the center of balance is not in the original timeline, but rather somewhere between the original and "Tru wins all the time" timeline. What if fate does not operate in a deterministic fashion, but rather more of a quantum mechanical probabilistic manner? For the most part things run smoothly, but every once and a while someone's fate is thrown into an uncertain state. When that happens, Tru and Jack relive the day to determine what that person's fate (and the fate of everybody affected by that person) will be.
I also wonder if maybe Tru's dad broke a rule by having her mother killed, which is why he no longer relives days. So far Jack has only worked indirectly against Tru; he has never killed or paid somebody to kill somebody that Tru was trying to save, let alone Tru herself. Otherwise, what's stopping him?
Hopefully we will be able to learn more....
