Suprised this hasn't been threaded yet. This was a good second part of this storyline. I felt very, very sorry for Bosco, and actually felt for him. Everyone gave a great performance, and maybe the show will end with a bang this season, unlike the fizzle of the rest of the season. The only one I didn't care for was the lawyer's wife too much; the brainwashing seemed too acted out. But Bosco's reaction to the bad news was amazing, and Faith's struggles seem to be heart-felt to the viewers.
Predictions, anyone? Season finale ought to be awesome.

I liked it too. Also thought the fonz's wife was overdone.
Personally, I'm sick of the Faith/Fred drama. It seemed to be too much, and then they got him into AA, then it started to get to be too much, and then they had him find Jesus, now it got to be too much, and he's taken the kids. Too much, either make the dude a decent guy, or make him an ass and have him killed off. If they can drastically rehab both Jimmy and Carlos' character, certainly they can do the same with Fred.
Prediction for the best season finale ever: approximately 40 minutes of the new medic lady dancing on the kitchen table and the firehouse pole in as little clothing as the censors will allow. ;)

That whole Fonz and Sabrina subplot was a direct steal of the Joel Steinberg case in New York City in the 1980s. Unfortunately, that one didn't come to light until the stolen daughter had been killed.

 :D  :D
I liked it overall. The hints about Fred taking the kids were pretty blatent. I was as unsurprised by it as Faith seemed to be.
Gene Simmons going after Bosco should be interesting.
I think the whole Fonze/Sabrina plotline would have been much better with better actors.

I did a little research on the newest member of the FDNYs 55th. Grace is played by Cara Buono. She was born on March 1, '74 in NYC. She made minor appearances in CSI:Miami, Law and Order and the major motion picture, Hulk. She also did some voice overs for the video game Mafia.

I agree they need to get rid of Fred. When Yokas was "paralyzed" I fast forwarded thru every scene with her and Fred. Too boring and TOO MUCH. Its like the writers were trying to BEAT into our skulls that this guy is miserable. I can see them trying to get that point across but do they have to do it with EVERY home scene with Yokas.
FAITH: "Work was crazy today. A bus full of nuns blew up and I saved a building full of orphans and puppies from certain death. Also a fellow cop who I was close too was killed. "
FRED: "Well while you were out your family needed you. When we were getting cereal we spilled milk. YOU WEREN'T THERE TO HELP US CUZ OF YOUR JOB!"
I know it is not extreme as that but it is close. EVERY FRIGGIN scene is set up like that. He is unhappy and doesn't like her job. WE GET IT. sheesh.
I am kinda disappointed with the writers that they didn't build up Gene Simmons character a little bit more. They basically have him come outta nowhere so they can have a shoot-em-up-blow-em-up season finale. They put more screen time on the Fonz/nuttywife storyline and the Yokas/Fred crap. With the heavy build up of the X monkey/dolphin ring they could have gave him a little more substance than avenging bada$$ mob boss.
They have ALOT of loose ends to tie up. And ALOT of storylines that are just getting started. I look forward to next seasonl.

I'm just hoping for a return of the show next season. This episode was great. While the nutty wife was kinda bizarre, I actually thought Kate did an excellent job of acting the part. She became more delusional the longer she spent away from Lester.
The final episode is going to, I think, finally get some of the characters off of the screen. Half of the paramedics are noobies now (despite what Gracie had to say) and the firefighters are now nowhere to be seen. It's turning into a cop show and it's hard for Yokas to be a cop if she keeps having to worry about her family.
Oh, and regarding Yokas' suprise about Fred and the kids leaving. I think that was the point. Sometimes it is very easy for those of us looking in to see the problem, while at the same time the person involved in the problem is blind as a bat. i thought it was very good writing and for that matter, I think that this is one of the most well written shows on TV right now.
