Could someone please tell me if I have 2 Tivos will I have to pay 12.95 for both? I already have one and I want another.
Thank you!

yes you have to pay for both

no, ther is no group discount.

Check out HMO if you buy a second - it will allow you to copy shows between them.

99$ for the first and 49$ for the second. There may be a free trial period or something if you check tivo site www.tivo.com

Or pay lifetime. Many of us old-timers here paid lifetime on our TiVo's and are now at an average of around $4/month for the roughly 4 years that we've had our TiVos. (Not allowing for resale value.)

Even better, resale value of TiVos on ebay give us the option of reselling our lifetime service for more than we originally paid! Negative service cost! :D

You sell your TiVo with lifetime and buy the HD TiVo and purchase lifetime for the HD TiVo if it is not a DirecTV HD TiVo. If it is DirecTV then you pay for service according the DirecTV terms. If it is not a DirecTV HD TiVo, then you have waited a long time since an HD TiVo that is not also a DirecTV receiver hasn't even been announced yet.

it and you SD TiVo keep right on chugging along. sure tehre will always be something to record that HD does not make any better

Yes as Chris said, you can sell the current TiVo, and on ebay lifetime on my old TiVo currently fetches about 15% more than I originally paid - hence my comment about negative service cost. I know it's a little hard to wrap your brain around the idea that you can be paid to watch your TiVo but that's the way the market currently works.

Tivo or Dtivo?

With 2 DTivo's you only pay 4.99 monthly for the tivo service, no mater how many dtivo's you run. You only pay the 5 dollar mirroring fee for each extra box/dtivo
