I watched several episodes of this. God this show makes me laugh. Anybody else catch the weekly episode on PBS?

I haven't watched an episode in quite a while, but the ones I have seen are hilarious. It's just too bad the actor who played Father Ted died so they stopped the series.

I first discovered it when my neighbor who lived downstairs lent me her well-worn vhs copy of some episodes brought over from across the pond. Then BBC America went on a spree of showing the whole series.

I think the character of Father Dougal is perfectly realized. So clueless, so funny.

Do you know how many episodes they made? I had heard that about Father Ted, that is pretty sad cause the show is genius!

Every time a see an ad for this show I make a mental note to set up a SP. That has yet to work out.

Looking at epguides.com, there's three 'seasons', 24 some episodes. After seeing the titles, I realized I haven't seen any of the third season. Guess it's time to start recording them again!

This show is one of my favorites, but I've pretty much seen all of the episodes, and with no more ever coming, well, it's pretty much been retired in my home.

I did buy a set of the DVDs for the first season, and passed it around to some friends that I thought might enjoy it, but have gotten only mixed reactions from them. It's not something that everyone would like, but if you enjoy the humor in it, it's very good.

If you like British humor, then you should like this. It is sort of dark, almost over the top sitcom. But in every episode there is a few moments where I have to pause the TIVO to finish laughing.
