Searching for Satellite In 2

I have been a DirecTV customer for about a year and a half (lured in by NFL Sunday Ticket and rising cable bills). Anyway, on 3/24/04 I had Tivo installed (Phillips receiver) and for 3 days I was in heaven. Being able to watch something on one channel and record on another was great. I work night shift so the thought of being able to record "Friends" and "Survivor" at the same time at the push of a button was great. Unfortunately, it only happened that one week because 3 days after I had Tivo installed I awoke to find the message "Searching for Satellite in 2". I immediately called DirecTV Customer Service and the very nice lady walked me through checking my wires to make sure they were all secure. Then we reset the system.......nothing worked. She transferred me to Technical Support and I was told that I was running the "old" software version (3.1.1b.....) and that they were currently sending updates to all Tivo customers to get new software (3.1.1c....). She says this should fix my problem. She walked me through the steps to deactivate my second line so that the message would disappear from my screen (very annoying).

I asked how long it would take to receive the download and I was told that it should take 4 weeks to complete all of the downloads. Here I sit 6 weeks later and still do not have the download and I am starting to get very frustrated. (It really stinks to have a new toy and not be able to play with it.)

Does anybody else have this problem? Will I automatically receive the upgrade or do I need to have my 2nd line activated so that it will know that I need it? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I am sorry if this has been discussed before. As you can see, I'm new and I did look but did not see anything about my particular problem

I responded in your duplicate thread, which is frowned upon BTW. :)
