I can not record on DVD-RW 1x Discs on my Pioneer 810 recorder. I either get an error that a fatal internal error occurs or I get an error that it is a bad disc. I have used multiple different 1x discs and get the same problem. I have no problems recording to DVD-RW 2x discs or DVD-R's. Is there something wrong with my unit?

I am using dirt cheap no name 1x DVD-R disks and they work fine

gotta love that the DVD has a Tivo interface. Was kinda confusing when we were watching a burned DVD on another machine - we thought we were still on Tivo.
