Can you use Norton Ghost to copy HD?

I've downloaded and read Hinsdale's drive replacement instructions. It seems pretty straight forward. However, I've used Norton Ghost numerous times and was wondering if anyone has ever used it to copy a TIVO hard disk? Ghost is very easy to use and fast. It supports several differerent versions of Linux. I would boot to DOS and never load XP/2000.
...just wondering? thanks.

The Ghost question again? Already?
Yes, you can, but there's no point. The TiVo isn't a PC and Ghost can't manipulate its partition structure. The only function that works is to clone the drive, and you can do that with dd.
If you're not bothered about keeping your recordings, MFS Tools can upgrade your TiVo in a few minutes by just copying the essential data to the new drive.
If you want to move your recordings to a new drive, then in most circumstances it's better to use MFS Tools to copy them rather than using dd or Ghost.
There's a lot of work gone into getting Hinsdale right. If it was as simple as using Ghost, there'd be no need for a How-to.

is there an option to increase the swap file in the dd?

dd can't do it, it just blindly copies data.
If you look at the third post of the Fixes thread above, you'll see instructions from manually creating a larger swap partition.
It's a lot easier to get MFS Tools to do it for you, though!
