So I buy my Tivo, the decision partially based on the fact that I will eventually get $50 back... I buy it in late February, send my rebate in a few days after I get it, sometime in the first week of March.

I call a few days ago to check on the status of my rebate, and they don't have it. They claim they never recieved it. The only way that I could get the rebate is if I made copies of my UPC code on the box, which I don't think I did (but I am still looking for my receipt and it may be together).

What is going on here? Tivo knows that I purchased the hardware (since I am using it), they know that I am subscribed to the service (since I am paying them), and they know that since I subscribed in March, I purchased it in the time frame they are looking for. What's the deal with the UPC code...

It sounds like a big scam to me, and an easy way to shrug off a customer...
