Thank you for posting all the timeslots. Now please post the actual ending times of these shows so that our TiVos don't cut off the endings.

Poor Scrubs gets moved every year. Best show on NBC IMO.
Posted by: SparkleMotion
"Scrubs" is the only one there I currently watch. Kinda interested in "Father of the Pride", though.
Posted by: mwhip
Scrubs, ER, CI and American Dreams are back, that is what I wanted to see. And hopefully I will be seeing them in HD by that time. :D
Where is "The Benefactor"? Isn't it a NBC show?
Posted by: tomo_kun
The mens room???? Is this annother "alternative lifestyle" show?
Posted by: rtype
I'm thankful that they put "Father of the Pride" on an unpopulated night. :)

Hopefully it's not a spinoff of The Lions Den. ;)
Some new comedies would be nice. Other than Scrubs I don't watch any comedies right now, and it's not because I don't like sit-coms--I just don't like the choices today.
Posted by: FloridaStateNo1
Just to clarify some things:
First, "The Benefactor" is not an NBC show, it is an ABC show, and it is scheduled to air this summer, not this coming fall.
Second, "The Men's Room" is a comedy which explores three men re-evaluating their lives, one in his 20s, one in his 30s, and one in his 40s.
Third, although this is currently accepted as the most likely fall '04 schedule, it's not the only possibility. There are rumors that Hawaii and Las Vegas will swap places, or that Hawaii and HUB will swap places. Monday is NBC's upfront presentation, and then we will truly know their fall schedule. Until then, this is still conjecture.

I think Scrubs should get a Thursday timeslot. I hate it when they ruin a good show by moving it around. Take Drew Cary for example, I had no idea that show was still around, until they announced the series finalle a few weeks back.

Not familiar with that one, but no...not a spinoff. It's a CGI animated show about a family of lions. Basically just a variation on a tried and true sitcom theme (they've done it with cavemen, dinosaurs, nuclear workers, and just about any other "walk of life" you can think of...why not with lions this time?).
Saw some artwork in EW a while back...looked like quality stuff. No idea if the writing and voice acting will be any good though.

I guess this means Miss Match isn't coming back at all. I actually enjoyed that show.

Not watching NBC until they figure out 9-10 isn't 8:59-10:01.

Damn, The Friendlys didn't make it. Now where am I going to get my Julie Bowen fix? Those Nutragena commercials just don't cut it!

One of those other comedies will fail, and hopefully we will get our Dave Foley fix.

I still can't believe they are going ahead with this as-is. The lions in question are the Siegfried and Roy White Lions. IMHO, we are too close to the mauling for viewers to be able to laugh at it on a regular basis.

Well, NBC has already greenlighted it as it takes a long time to create episodes apparently (so they're stuck with the representations).
It is interesting they are dumping Saturdays again (no surprise though). I don't forsee it to be long until Saturdays become either just sports or local affiliate control for the big networks. It appears CBS does continue to put a drama or two on Saturdays (and does do well for the original series crowd).

Yes, it tested very badly. There are rumors that it is one of the worst pilots to ever be produced.
Posted by: SnakeEyes
I read, I think TVGuide, that wrote well of it. It can't be as bad as US Red Dwarf. But it wouldnt surprise me, The Office being so different probably would test badly even if it was good. I don't think American audiences would get it.
Posted by: GoodN
I heard that "Pride" was going to get the "Friends" time slot on Thursday. I can't believe they are going to run it against "American Ido" instead.

Yah, but according to the audience, so was Friends, so you never know these things.

Since I don't watch any of the shows left on NBC I won't even sample their new ones, until they actually start and stop a show on the 1/2 hour marks like everyone else.

After the "Coupling" debacle, it's simply astounding that NBC would try something so stupid once again.

There was a US version of Red Dwarf? What was it called? I don't ever remember seeing it.

When's the new L&O gonna be on? The one with Lennie Briscoe?
I haven't seen L&O in a few months - but I'll be certain to watch the season finale next week.
Bye Lennie!

It was titled the same. The project was scrapped after the pilot.. it was horrid. You can often times find it on file sharing programs.

Look for Will and Grace to go to Tuesdays.

Here it is.
Doesn't appear to be any major shake-ups with the existing shows. Even "Scrubs" is staying put at 9:30.

Maybe they'll move Scrubs to Thursday if/when "Joey" fails.

Office not dead yet.

nbc announced there will be no new law & order spinoff and dennis farina (crime story) will join the original law & order cast. i have heard that green will be moving to the senior detective spot that briscoe left so his pairing with farina's character might seem a bit odd if farina does portray a detective.
no more briscoe... sad day.

Actually, there is a new Law and Order series scheduled - "Law and Order: Trial by Jury" - but it's on hold for later in the season (whether that means later fall or a midseason replacement is unclear).

Why is it so sad? I mean, how many different iterations of the same series do you need?
Law and Order
Law and Order: Special Victims Unit
Law and Order: Criminal Intent
Law and Order: Trial by Jury
Law and Order: Mall Security
Law and Order: Traffic Control
Law and Order: Parking Checkers
Law and Order: The Balliff (would show the same episode as Trial by Jury, just from a different camera angle, that of the Balliff. :))

lennie briscoe happened to be one of my favorite characters. i am allowed to like a show aren't i? i like the original. i am allowed to like a character aren't i? i like lennie briscoe. i am allowed to be silly aren't i? sorry..forgot to ask permission to like the original law & order.
and yes they are all law & order but the three are different entirely. although the original and svu follow the same path closely svu mostly deals with sex offenses and abuse cases. ci is more of a "why dunnit"...you know who did the crime...you know what the crime was...but you don't know why they did it. however, law & order crime & punishment was about worhless...it didn't deserve to last the two episodes it did.
feel free to go ahead and rake me over the coals for liking something you don't i am prepared. seems that happens alot here...
Posted by: LoadStar
DUDE! Calm down! What goes on in this forum is a lot of intelligent debate - sometimes one person has an opinion that you might not share, and a discussion happens. It doesn't mean that anyone is going to "rake you over the coals."
Personally, I feel that the second most annoying thing on TV (and in Hollywood in general) is taking a franchise that is popular and milking it for everything it's worth. L&O and CSI are both examples of this - when L&O: Trial By Jury premieres, there will be 4 different L&O series on simultaneously, and 3 different CSI series (CSI, CSI:NY, CSI:Miami). And the more disappointing part is that especially with L&O - as you correctly pointed out - the series are quite different and may have worked as standalone series - but instead the creative powers that be relied on the crutch that was a popular franchise name to get ratings.
Additionally, at a certain point, you have to ask - how many crime/police dramas do you really need? While they're on different networks, it's still a total of 7 hours of crime/police dramas. That's a lot, IMHO.

What's up with West Wing sharing it's time slot?
Are they just testing Revelations mid-season?
Posted by: mitchrc
Revelations is an apocalypse drama? They've ordered a full season of West Wing this year and will rest it mid-season to insert Revelations, which will be a limited run.

For some reason, NBC doesn't ever rerun The West Wing. I think the tendency, this year, is when there's no new West Wing, a Law & Order rerun runs instead of a West Wing rerun. I hope they'll rerun some this summer (because I've missed much of Season 5), but I'm not sure.
Anyway, I guess this show Revelations is going to run when there's no new episode of The West Wing, and they'll probably make it so all of those weeks are contiguous, so as not to interrupt the flow of Revelations.

They replay West Wing on Bravo.

Isn't another Law & Order, or another CSI better than some stupid reality show or lame comedy.
There may be a lot of crime dramas on TV, but their batting average is way above any other type of show.

Note Jane Leeves (Daphne on Frasier) was Holly, Terri Farrell (ST:DS9, Becker) was Cat.

Yes, they do, but a) that's not the current season, and b) they don't rerun the show in its regular first-run timeslot, like they do for almost every other show. That's why The West Wing shares its timeslot, and shows like ER and Third Watch don't.

Cat was played by a black male in the OTHER US pilot (there were two, actually). In fact, I believe it was the same guy who played "Sweet" in the Buffy musical.
