QUEER EYE UPDATE #13

. . . QUEER EYE ROAD TRIP: DALLAS, TEXAS . . .
Since the series premiered last year, viewers from around the
country have been asking "when are you guys going to leave
New York and help the rest of us?" Um, how about...now? If
you're a straight guy in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in need
of aid from the Fab Five, now is your chance! Simply visit
http://www.thequeereye.com/Be_on_the_Show/
and fill out the form. But hurry -- we're coming this summer
(it doesn't get hot in Texas, does it?) and we'll only be
there for three episodes.
. . . ALL-NEW SEASON BEGINS JUNE 1 . . .
That's right -- Bravo's boys of summer are back to make better
an all-new collection of straight guys beginning Tuesday,
June 1. In the new season, be on the lookout for:
...David, a handbag designer's husband in need
of a runway-ready look
...Brandon and David, fraternal twins with
identical style problems
...Michael, a Buddhist punk rocker dad hoping to
update his look before his 40th birthday
...Philly, a hip-hop fan aiming to impress his
ex-wife and coworkers
. . . STRAIGHT GIRL CASTING CALL COMING SOON . . .
As announced last month, the producers of Queer Eye are working
on a new spin-off series, QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GIRL.
Information about how to be on the show will be posted online
later this month. If you're a straight girl in the Los Angeles
area in need of a "make-better" experience, be sure to keep
checking BravoTV.com for details.
. . . HELPING US HELP YOU . . .
A big THANK YOU to everyone who wrote in with suggestions as to
how we can make this little newsletter more useful and more fun.
We're compiling the various submissions now, and you should be
seeing some changes soon. If you have an idea for us, it's not
too late -- just send it to feedback@bravotv.com and put the
words 'QUEER EYE UPDATE' in the subject line.

We're already working on my stepfather's application. :)

I'd go for it, except I'm perfect the way I am.

Let's have them work on Whitson.

That would be awesome. I can see them having fun with Steve's 'never tuck' stance.
(Feel free to misquote that all you want.)

Shut up single dude :D
I am happy the way I am, and I don't need anyone gay or not to tell me how to dress. People who need help dressing themselves (for goodness sake!) should be more confident in who they are, rather than relying on the opinions of others. Unless they are the type of person who needs other people to tell them what to do, I can't understand why anyone would go on a show like this.
I don't have a never tuck stance. I only tuck in button up shirts. Or when I wear a tie. It is a genius stance.

Can one nominate whitson by just going to the Queer Eye website, or does one actually have to know details about whitson and his life in order to fill out the nomination form? ;-)
Of course it would seem to me that we've got a couple other good Dallas area candidates for the Fab 5 treatment - John McKee or smeek, f'rinstance.

Please, John McKee is already a metrosexual, so it's doubtful the Fab 5 could do much for him besides finish painting his apartment.

Same with Jeff.

Lordy, guys! I'm not saying you all have to go on the show.
Don't you think it would be fun just to keep an eye out for the Fab 5-mobile?

Sure.. But wouldn't it be funny to see a Dallas are TC person on the show?
And to Whitson... They have done makeovers on married guys before. It's not limited to single dudes.

Some of the Fab 5's best work has been with married guys, including the rotund guy with the hideous bright red carpet (Adam?), and the mountain man-looking guy with the teenage daughter about to head off to college.
