Im watching it right now on the TiVo, im just wondering, was it really jimmy's last show?

EDIT: I just watched the rest of it, and, i died durring the last skit. Did anyone else notice tina mouth the word no?

I don't think they'd play around about it being his last show. Loved the opening monologue where they went to their "prom", the "Swan" parody, the "Grease" parody. They sure mentioned their movie enough, of course that's why everyone does this show, to promote something. With exception of Jet and Outkast, this has been one of the weakest seasons for musical acts that I've seen.

Jimmy Fallon leaving is the best news I heard regarding this show in a looooooong time. :D :cool: :p

Hmm, I like Jimmy, he's one of the few left that doesn't bother me. The only time I really don't like him is when He's in a giggling fit with Heratio.

Ashly is hot, I'm not so sure about Mary-Kate though.

This was a pretty lame show beginning to end. There were a few moments that made me laugh, butt all in all it really wasn't funny.

And while I generally like the idea of musical parody on the show, it hardly was a parody! The writers didn't change the lyrics at all! They could have actually included some joke lyrics that more directly applied to the show. As it was, it was just the cast of SNL doing "Grease."

The "Twins" were pretty funny. It's hilarious that my buddy said the exact same thing as Kylep about Ashley being more hot that Mary-Kate. I'm wondering if it's a make-up thing? They seem to look almost exactly alike except for that. I liked the skit about the "third twin," but think that Horatio whatshisname should have played the twin rather than the guy who did.

I'm indifferent about Fallon leaving. He's funny on occasion when utilized right. But It'll be good to get some fresh blood on the show.

I agree with everything you said! My wife & I think Jimmy is great except when he's with Horatio.

I also think Ashley is much cuter than Mary Kate! Not that Mary Kate isn't cute too.

The only really funny skit was the one where they were paparazzi and Mary Kate told Mary Kate to eat a sandwich. At least they can laugh at themselves. Some celebs can't.

What a horrible episode. They were doing so good, and actually had some decent shows this season, but ending with that crap? I chuckled at the prom skit and the swan skit, but that was it.

Wow, can't believe so many guys are fawning over these 2. First time I've actually seen them other than in still shots. They might be legal in 4 weeks, but they sure won't be good looking.

The twins are definitely not as cute as I remember them. I really think Ashley is cuter, too, although they both need some work done to make their mouths a little smaller. :D

Also -- I thought it was pretty clever to use the twins to do the old mirror routine during the Swan.

SNL is a pretty hot or miss show depeniding on how well the hosts do. Also how good the writing is this week.

I didn't see SNL, but did see an E! show about the twins. With the proper makeup they are very cute. Ashley is about 2 inches taller than Mary-Kate (or is it the other way around?) and those two have made a fortune with their videos and other products. They have their own company. When they reach 18 and get control of the millions, watch out. Also, they are fraternal twins, in case anyone didn't know.

E! is repeating the show Tuesday 5/18 at 10pm EDT.

Feel free to check their web site. Fraternal, not Identical. These days pretty easy to tell apart. Among other things Ashley is taller by a couple inches.

I just wish Horatio could act instead of reading his lines so freaking obviously.

The "Prince" show skit a few weeks ago was the highpoint of the season for me. Laughed till I hurt.

OMG, that's the only FUNNY part of SNL ever... when Jimmy and Horatio start cracking up at themselves :)

Once Horatio and Maya leave SNL, then it might finally get cancelled.. it just sucks... and those 2 are the only funny ones on the show, especially now that Jimmy is gone..

Why? I don't think the people that have websites counting down how long till they are 18 are doing it because they admire their acting ability. And that was directly stated in what you quoted. I talked about the guys fawning over them. Well I see nothing worth fawning about. Since it was my first time actually seeing them, I think it was a valid comment. And since the twins themselves mentioned it at the end of the show, I think it's fair game.

I wonder why Jimmy Fallon left? He doesn't have any recurring charectars good enough for a movie. Could he do that cheesy DJ guy for an entire movie :-). Although I thought he was funny as the road manager in that movie in Almost Famous. Why these guys leave that show is beyond me, unless they are requested to. They only seem to work a few weeks a year, and can apparently get away with writing whatever they want weather it's funny or not.

Everyone seems surprised by Fallon anouncing his last show. I didn't hear about it ahead of time either. Long time cast members leaving usually generates some kind of story somewhere.

Maybe it's a contract dispute and he's playing hardball with Lorne?

It was rumored for several weeks at least. In fact, I wondered going into this episode whether they'd mention it.

He's such a little attention whore he was all over it multiple times. Most of the ones who leave do so quietly and gracefully.

Actually, if I remember correctly, Jimmy was supposedly leaving last year. We had read that several places. Then when he showed up this year, we were surprised.

As for saying goodbye, almost every skit this week featured Jimmy. He's usually only in one or two besides Weekend Update.
