Hi, I wanteds to buy a large Hard Drive for my RCA DVR40 but I don't know what Type. I was looking up Hard Drives on e*ay but I don't know which one my dvr40 accepts. I am saw a WD 160GB, 7200RPM, Internal ATA/100 Hard Drive. Will this work? Also, How many GIGs can my tivo accept?

your tivo will accept any standard computer IDE or ATA drive (not SCSI or SATA). check down a couple of threads for two good deals on 160gb drives from major retailers ($80).

your tivo will only see the first 137gb of a drive. i feel it is worth it to get a 160gb drive for these low prices to get the extra 17gb of space, certainly adds a good number of hours.

Can I make it read all the GIGs if I modded the Hard Drive w/ sleepers ISO?

No, it's a software hack in the TiVo kernal. You would actually have to replace a large part of the OS to make this work. It's also not particulary stable.
