Keen Eddie - From Paramount: Keen Eddie complete series
Posted by Gord Lacey
5/18/2004

Earlier today information went out to various retailers about upcoming Paramount releases, including many TV sets. Please keep in mind that these dates are probably correct, but since nothing has been officially announced by Paramount they may change. Among the announcements is Keen Eddie: The Complete Series, scheduled for release on September 7. All we have at this time is the date; once we get more information it will be posted to the site.

Thanks to Alex Jimenez for sending us this information.

You are saving $$$, but also spending time. The question is if you are ahead of the game archiving youself or just buying the DVDs

Yeah, but you have almost all of them in hand NOW and this announcement is that they're coming September. Maybe. There isn't even a firm date yet. Stuff could change.

I have burned a few of them from the TiVo but I'd love to have them in the official dvd set.

[foolish optimism]I wonder if there is any chance that huge sales for the DVD could push the show back into production (ie Family Guy). The show was just getting going with some of the character development when Fox pulled the plug. [/foolish optimism]

First of all, COOL!

I've been collecting them on my TiVo since they started on Bravo back in January, so I've had the whole series for probably close to a month now. I've been planning on watching them this summer (in the right order), once I'm done with all the current series I have piled up. Plus that'll give us more time to forget the ones we've already seen. (although I have watched the Moneypenny "on all fours" scene more than a few times already).

I'll probably still buy them when they come out, but I've been looking forward to watching them over the summer so I'm not going to wait till September.

I'd love to see that too hepcat, but I'd be surprised if the actors (and everyone else) haven't found other work by now. It'll have been well over a year since they wrapped up this show by the time the DVDs come out.

I thought I had been getting them all, but perhaps not.

I currently have 11 episodes on my TiVo with one more (ep.8) scheduled to record next Wednesday.

Have all 13 been broadcast already on Bravo? Will they be repeating (from the program info, I think I'm missing ep. 9)?

Is the show best watched in order, with a storyline to follow? haven't seen it yet but have heard great things

Try to watch the pilot first if you can. Beyond that there isn't really a story. You will miss the evolution of character relationships. This is particularly true between Eddie and Fiona and Eddie and Pippin.

Yeah, no serial story or anything, but I'd definitely watch them in production order to follow the relationship development. Go by the episode number - KED-101, 102, 103, etc.

1. 1-1 KED-101 03-Jun-2003 Pilot (a.k.a Eddie)
2. 1-2 KED-102 10-Jun-2003 Horse Heir
3. 1-3 KED-109 17-Jun-2003 Achtung Baby
4. 1-4 KED-112 24-Jun-2003 Eddie Loves Baseball
5. 1-5 KED-106 01-Jul-2003 Sucker Punch
6. 1-6 KED-110 08-Jul-2003 The Amazing Larry Dunn
7. 1-7 KED-107 24-Jul-2003 Black Like Me
8. 1-8 KED-111 27-Jan-2004 Sticky Fingers
9. 1-9 KED-108 17-Feb-2004 Inciting Incident
10. 1-10 KED-104 02-Mar-2004 Citizen Cecil
11. 1-11 KED-105 24-Mar-2004 Who Wants to Be in a Club That Would Have Me as a Member?
12. 1-12 KED-103 07-Apr-2004 Keeping Up Appearances
13. 1-13 KED-113 14-Apr-2004 Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité

Yes, they've all been broadcast on Bravo. I have episodes 2-13 on my tivo. I had recorded episode 1 but forgot to change my Season Pass to keep more than 5 episodes and lost "Pilot" before I caught it. I'm just waiting for it to air one more time.
