Three suggestions

Hey there. I've had Tivo about a year now and I LOVE it. I have a series 2 and I have three suggestions.

1.) When I pause a show and then walk away for more than a certain amount of time, Tivo "unpauses" and goes back to live TV. If I don't come back until after the next show starts, I miss what I had paused! Tivo should know that since I haven't come back yet, I want to see how that show I paused ended and should record it for me!

2.) When I "pad" a show to record an extra minute or two, sometimes it conflicts with a show I want to record that my first show overlaps with. I wished Tivo would go ahead and record the remainder of the overlapped show, even though the first minute or two may be cut off due to the first show's padding.

3.) I wished there was a way to transfer Tivo recorded shows to my home computer so that I could burn them onto a DVD.

Well, 3 is being addressed with the announced TiVoToGo add on to their Home Media Option. It uses a hardware USB key to allow playback of encrypted shows copied to your computer, and will support burning them to DVD.

I've seen 2 suggested fairly frequently, but 1 is a new one to me. That would be a neat little feature. You'd have to be careful about whether it could delete any of your current shows to save the paused one, but that could be a useful feature. [Maybe it could save it as a suggestion].
