Fry's has an awesome "barely advertised" deal right now for the following drive at $149 out the door, NO REBATES, through 5/25:

WD Caviar model WD2500JB
250GB
7200 RPM
8MB cache

For those who are measuring, the LBA capacity of the one I have is 488397168. The packaging is such that you can read the entire drive label from the outside without opening the package in any way, so you can check at the store if need be.

I realize that the 7200RPM speed makes it a little less desirable due to heat, but for me, $0.60/GB is a great price point. Local D/FW guys, the Fry's at 75 and Plano Parkway has dozens of them at this price.

Staples also has 160 GB drives for $90, also no rebate. They are 8 MB cache Maxtors.

Fry's in CA had a 250GB maxtor for $140 about a week ago, no rebate. They were also selling a 250GB toshiba for $110 after rebate.
