Is there anyone here that can help me with an idea I had. I heard that TIVO runs on Linux, is that true?

If so, is there any way that it could run a Linux music program and LIRC to play MP3s from the internal hard drive? Could an LCD display be attatched, like on a Linux computer, to display track Info? If it does run Linux, surely a CD-ROM drive could even be installed, to play CDs.

Does anyone know if any of this is possible? It would be even better if it could double up as an MP3 jukebox and CD player!!

You might ask this in the Tivo Underground Forum here. I've never heard anyone performing such a major mod to their Tivo.
