About the Toshiba SD-H400 or whatever model it is. We're getting one soon - hopefully UPS delivers on Monday. We got the QVC Value of the Day because of y'all.
It's not completely mine, but I still have to train everyone.
Where's everyone getting theirs from? Does QVC have their center in Commerce City, CO? My tracking said that it originated in CC. CO.

Are there any quirks about this model?
Also, where should I start with the training? I have to completely teach them.

I also bought this unit from qvc. Really i bought two of them. :-) Its due to be delivered on Monday also i can't wait.
I'm hoping this unit can also be upgraded later on, like a bigger hard drive. :-)

Where's it being shipped from? That's pretty smart if they have their warehouse right next to UPS.
Also, I learned that they don't support 30 sec skip. One less feature to teach.

No 30 second skip, no HD upgrade possible at this point.
It's a nice machine, my first TiVo. Picture is OK, it's got component video out, which few others due. DVD interface is different from the TiVo interface. DVD picture quality is good. The remote is OK, but not great. I upgrade to a universal remote.
Works great with USB Ethernet or Wireless on my home network.
There's lots more info if you search the forum for the model name.

Thanks for confirming this. It was a big discussion about whether or not the interface was the same in the QVC thread. What's it look like?
I agree. That pause button is way too small.

Honestly, I don't remember off hand. I hardy ever use the DVD end of it. :)
Can I ask how much they're going for on QVC?

They had a "Special Value of the Day" for 270 bucks or 5 payments of 90 bucks.
Now, $286

Isn't 5 x $90 = $450?
