Reversible Errors - 5/23

Anyone else watch this last night? It was really slow to start and I almost gave up, but the story got interesting finally. I'm glad I kept watching.

William H. Macy is easily one of my favorite actors, he was perfect. His wife, Felicity Huffman, was also very good.

Tom Selleck didn't really seem to be a good fit for his part, though. I also thought Monica Potter looked really old. IMDB shows she's only 33.

Part 2 airs on Tuesday (5/25). I'll have to TiVo as I'll be watching the 24 finale.

I did not realize this was a two part series.. I watched part one only to see that I had missed recording part two by about a week and a half..

Anyone happen to have part two on tape or DVD?

Ever notice that Macy always plays a sad sack? Also, is it just me or does Felicity Huffman have a resemblence to Edie Falco?

You obviously have not watched the whole thing.

I thought the whole ending of the show was rather stupid, if I understood it right.

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
They threw out the conviction because the judge had drug problems, not because of the evidence discovered? Did they throw out the convictions of all the other criminals she tried too? Without any indication it affected the outcome?

It's so strange I'm almost certain I missed something or misunderstood something.

Yeah basically the plot of the whole thing was that the DA made her career on this case (in which they caught and convicted suspect "Squirrel" so quickly). When it started to appear that they were wrong:
Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
All hell was about to break loose. This guy was on death row after all. Thanks to the airport security chief's deathbed confession, the whole thing began to come unraveled. Upon this evidence Selleck's character had the gun re-analyzed for forensics and who else it could be linked to (it was never originally found or linked to Squirrel). It turned out the gun confirmed the Chief's story plus implicated their originally jail house witness against squirrel. After tampering with evidence, the only way the DA could fix her mistake, w/out her and Selleck's character basically admitting to committing a crime themselves... was to find reversible error.
