Ok, I plugged in the adapter and it wont let me get into network settings. It just displays phone options. I redid guided set-up and tried forcing it with that command I found on this site...still no luck. The USB adapter is powering up and is "linking" as it displays, I just cant get into the set up. I do have the correct software version, 1b I believe.
I have a series 2 tivo and my wireless USB adapter is Linksys WUSB11 ver. 2.6

Please help me, thanks.

P.S. I have also tried reversing the cable, etc...

Nothing is working...

Try very firmly pushing the cable into the USB connector in the rear of the TiVo. The version 2.6 of the WUSB11 adapter has an issue with the cable -- it has to be seated very firmly and a "click" should be heard when it is fully in place.

The lights come up -- but it's not fully connected. You're not the first person who has had this issue - it was very common when the 2.6 version was the current version about a year ago.

I fixed it. I made sure the cable end that plugs into the adapter was FIRMLY inserted, and wala, that solved the problem.
