The Real World - 6/1/04 (*Untagged Spoilers Inherant*)

I could have sworn that they wanted her gone just as much as I did. Some of them were nice, Robyn just tired of her. Watching her pack her bags just felt so good. But then again, this just makes me long for The Real World: Puhiladelphia being taped 5 minutes from my apartment.

I think the rest of the cast this season will make up for her going.

I clapped when they dropped her off at the airport. I also think it was pretty funny that she didn't end up making that concert.

Haven't watched this ep yet... but typical behavior on the Real World (or any reality show for that matter) person A tells the camera: "if person B gets in my face I am going to tell him/her off. I am not going to put up with his/her BS." Then when person A and person B find themselves alone, they both tip toe around each other instead of throwing down... saying stuff like "I understand where you are coming from"

That is sort of what I am expecting here

I hope Dave dumps her. It would be so perfect.

And falls in love with a sorrority chic. That would definately push her over the edge.

Now they have to pick a new house guest. This should be intresting. Frankie thinks shes got the whole world figured out. I am glad she went home.

Posted by: RegBarc

She was so punk rawk grrlie, her rebelness made me want to rock.

Kidding.

She'll hold a steady job about 2 years before the CF gets her.

Nice.

And you know her mom didn't want her coming home early because of the boyfriend...not for giving up on the show.

I'm surprised that MTV didn't rush a camera crew out with Frankie when she returned to her beloved Dave.

I didn't realize it was up to the producers if she could leave for a while (and go to her precious concert) and come back. Tonya on Chicago left and came back. Frankie was entertaining at least. No matter what she says I doubt she will ever be happy no matter what (as her sister said).

I think the problem was she wanted to leave and have the option of returning if she wanted to. And the producers couldn't just leave it in the air like that...

When you sign on for the show you're supposed to stay with the production through the duration (and other contractual obligations). If you left the project you take away from the core experience (interacting with the other roomies) and the production would incur additional expenses following you around the country. They have done it in the past, but I believe the rules change, and I'm certain they knew the true reason Cranky wanted to leave. That girl has some major psych problems and is in a lot of denial, that's why she's so fascinating to watch.

Ok now I have watched this. I was surprised how much they all talked about how much she sucked after she left... especially Cameran. First they bitch she doesn't call... then she does call and Cameran is insulted by her phone call... WTF?

Posted by: Rob Helmerichs

I think the very lengthy delay in the call made her doubt Frankie's sincerity...

Posted by: Shawkins

Don't let the door hit ya Frankie!! What a headcase!

Posted by: FLbadgirl

I think Cameron was right. I think Frankie was putting up a front on the phone call. I don't think it matters where she is, she's miserable. Being home for the first few days may be blissful but I think Frankie has bigger issues than just being unhappy on the Real World. I was glad to see her go.

She needs to go home and get her life straight and take care of her health.

Posted by: daperlman

What does she mean too punk rock for this?

I think she is probably right also. But I couldn't believe how much it even mattered to her, and how everyone that was acting concerned about her was now letting her have it.

Posted by: Shawkins

The irony is when she says that back home she is so damn happy, yet on her first days on the show talking to Cameran, she says she's good at two things. The first was being sad and the second was running away (from problems). Sounds like a model for a blissful life to me.

Someone on TWoP posted an interesting link
with Skanky. It sort of takes the edge off of her.

Sorry to whoever owns that email address ;)

Thanks dschwab...that was a great article.

Just in case anybody cares, there's a mild spoiler for next week's show in that article.

Posted by: daperlman

who the hell names two girls Frankie and Mamie? It's like you want them to be weird!

Posted by: KRS

What happened to her snake? I didn't see it with her at the airport.

Interesting interview, but I still think Frankie can be summed up with two words:

High Maintenance

Posted by: DLiquid

Very interesting that Frankie never even auditioned for The Real World. I've always wondered why she would ever want to be on this show if she hated it so much. That explains it a bit.

I feel sorry for the sister.

Posted by: DLiquid

Wasn't there a thread for last week's (5/25) show too? I seem to recall a poll or something that I didn't open because I hadn't watched the show yet, but I can't find it. Am I imagining things?

Posted by: ForsakeN

I seriously hate frankie, MTV put her on this show because MTV knows the viewers like drama but she caused the show to seem dark and gloomy 24/7.

I'm happy she's off the show, and I CAN'T wait to see who the next roommate is, hopefully someone cool like Ja.
