Tivo and Yamada DVR-8000 Help!

Hi
I have just bought a Yamada DVR-8000 from Maplin for Ł180 (Bargain!) It doesn't have all the bells and whistles like timeslip etc but I thought it would be good in conjunction with my trusty Tivo for backing up programs.
Heres the problem though:
I am connecting it via a digisender (Digiair 2020 I think) so I can have it up in my bedroom. So it is like this Tivo (Downstairs) -> Digisender -> Digi receiver -> DVR (3 phono to Scart) -> DVR -> TV (Scart).
The DVR splash screen comes up in colour. When the DVR is in standby the Tivo signal passes through in colour but when the DVR is on and in its 'recording mode' the picture is black and white.
I have checked settings on Tivo, TV and DVR and everything is set correctly.
My next option is to make sure I have got a fully wired Scart lead but failing that I would be grateful for any advice or similar experiences.

Please tell us you're not going to record from the TiVo via the Digisender...

B&W usually indicates you have s-video set somewhere.
