WHAM (not the band): what kind of station is this?

Through Comcast Boston, MA
Channel #225 is WHAM
I believe its some teen or kids television station but I was wondering if it had some religious views or background to its parent company.
I did a search online just to get some more information on this channel and the programing lineup. I was unable to find it through google.
Reason im asking ---
I had a young relative staying with me and has asked every day to watch this show--- "The Tribe"---- Its has to be one of the strangest kids shows I have ever seen. I believe its a british show but I may be wrong. Anyhow its so bad its good. Reminds me of a movie you would see on Mystery Science Theater or something.
Anyhow just wondering if anybody here knows any more about WHAM.

WAM is owned by Starz. They show movies and other programming geared towards teenagers.

Yeah, it's "WAM" (or perhaps "WAM!"), without the H. I dunno what, if anything, it stands for. Definitely not religious, as they show uncensored movies. :-)
I like "The Tribe", but it can be difficult to follow on WAM, because it's got a lot of continuing storylines, while WAM isn't showing it in order (or at least, they show both older and newer eps), and there's no clear labelling of where you are in the series. I believe it's an Australian production, but the cast is supposed to sound international, with a mix of accents.
The basic premise of the show is a world where a man-made plague has wiped out the adult population. So the kids have to organize a new society (and incidentally, find the cure). What I like is that, while it starts out very "Lord of the Flies", it doesn't stay that way.

They're also rerunning a guilty pleasure of mine, the "Weird Science" TV show (a USA Network original series from about 10 years ago).

The guy who played Gary on the TV show version of "Weird Science" ended up marrying Jenny McCarthy.

That sounds like it could have been an episode of the show. :D
