I`ve been with Directv since the beginning and I have 5 receivers hookup right now. 6 if you count the High Definition DVR I just got from Circuit City in Hattiesburg,MS. Should I try and get a better deal than the $150.00 deal before I activate it.

I've been a D*sub since 1995 or so.

What I got:

$250 credit at activation
6 months of: Showtime, $10 off HBO & $5 off Total Choice

Total: $340 off + 6 months of Showtime FWIW

I had to ask to be transferred to "customer retention" before I got this -- the normal reps cannot offer this. You may have to be subbed to Total Choice + locals or better.

or maybe it was $10 off of HD service, I forget.
