Ethernet port install on back of TiVo

I searched high and low on this subject and found very little, so I decided to just do it and hopefully help other people. The biggest problem I had was how to cut a clean rectangular hole in the back of my TiVo. Solution: a $12 tool from Radio Shack . After I got done I found a different jack that would work better. It fits the sheet metal fits the groove perfectly and only sticks out the back a little bit. But best of all, no glue (or RTV in my case).

Beeeee-utiful.
Hey, wait. What did you hook this port to? Is there a ethernet adapter in the case now? How did you bypass the USB port?

He says SVR-2000 and CacheCard. This is a series 1 box - no USB.
There was a description maybe a year or two ago here about mounting a keystone jack in the back panel.
