I know it's just laziness, but most innovation comes from laziness. I wish TiVo would accept USB keyboards and/or mice. When I am searching shows it's so many clicks to get from T to I to M to space to R to O to B to B to I to N to S only to realize that you were thinking of Gary Sinise and it would be made much faster with a keyboard. Also it would save batteries in the remote. I noticed the TiVo remote just kills batteries, and I realized it was from scrolling, bloop-bloop-blooping etc. I must send 20 times more IR with that remote than with a normal cable remote.

If you look around outside the main forums, you'll find that TiVo Series2, in fact, can be made to accept input from a USB keyboard instead of the remote (but, unfortunately, not in addition to the remote).

I like how the ReplayTV's will understand the IR commands from a WebTV keyboard to do just this.
