I have a preorder with Wholesale connection for a Hd TiVo for $849.Price is right,anyone ever get one from them?

I am also waiting. I am one of those that got it for $799. I just got an email saying that they are expecting units any day now. We'll see.

The company that owns Wholesale Connection also own a chain of local/regional retail stores - that are taking pre-orders at full retail. It makes be wonder if the company gets in a limited number, will they take care of their retail customers first?

It is not a secret, I "found" it by doing a Whois lookup on the domain name. Electronic Express is a chain of stores based in Nashville with 17 stores in TN. I have purchased quite a few things from them over the years. Not only does the web page look the same, but I noticed the agreement for WC had to be faxed to a Nashville number - when I checked it is the same number on the EE page for the same item. So no matter that it says WC is in NY, they charge tax in TN and it is the same company.

Now that we know all of that, does anyone know anything about when we might actually recieve a HD TiVo,what are they saying?

I think these are the same guys that Samsung sent some early DLP's to that were supposed to go to showroooms and ended up as internet orders (long story)--relevance to this is that they may take care of internet orders first.

I got one of their units for $849. They're now $899. However, I still have no unit.....

I just got off the phone with them.They are saying that the shipment is 3 weeks overdue.The guy sounded kinda frustrated..who really knows

I doubt they can make a profit selling the units at that price and doubt you will ever see any of the orders at $800 filled.

I agree Chris,

Although I am out nothing for a place on their pre-order, i feel they are wasting my time. I dont believe they are going to fill any orders under 999.00 at the moment. I might add that my email today went unanswered this afternoon. I dont even think they have eveb gotten a single unit.

I don't think that they would ship to the $999 people first.If they did, someone would report here saying they received their unit,and mayhem would ensue.

They are saying today is the day for them to start shipping.Let's see.
