Footage not found.
"I didn't even know we were calling him big bear"
And of course, the rant about the doctor saying "lost" in the previews. :D

I figured it would be nicer to have a thread where spoiler tags were not needed :)

I just love the throwaway jokes in this show like that.
In one of the hospital scenes, they're all standing in front of an assignment board. The "HN" (which I'm assuming is Head Nurse) on duty is Ratchet. :)

Actually it's RN, for registered nurse, but good catch.

This episode had me in hysterics. I especially appreciated how they came back to so many jokes and catch phrases from the entire season. And the endless diet jokes. "I want all of you off this immediately. Except you." (And the mother grabbing the food out of Lindsay's mouth in the 'next season' bit.) There was just too much in this episode to laugh at!
BTW, the book reading schedule read: "Saturday, Sunday, Here, There, Another Place, Another Time, Everywhere, Monday, Monthly". Not a joke, just funny.

As I am one of the people who watched Alias instead of Arrested, I've seen only a few episodes along with the FX teasers. Of the episodes I've seen, this was the best one so far.
The Atkins subplot was on the money esp. the IV glucose one. The problem with this show is I have to pay too much attention to the show to catch all of the jokes. We're up to 2 thumbs up now.
Also, since I've missed episodes I might be behind, but I didn't realize the subplot of Maeby and George Michael had flipped the other direction. I was not expecting that (still funny though). Finally, I guess the writers took Tobias's "hidden" background another level with the book stuff.

Rasheed, wouldn't you rather pay attention, then stick a few crayons up in to your brain so every other comedy on TV seems funny *
* Except Curb Your Enthusaism or Scrubs.

What a great episode.
"Great. I'm going to get a lethal injection all because my family won't eat a potato."
And the cut scenes to the highway rest stop regarding Barry's poison oak were hilarious.

I am amazed at how good this show keeps getting. This episode was hilarious! I am so glad it got a chance to air.
My favorite:
GOB: ... the matriarch, if you will.
Michael: Yes, I will.

Did anyone else notice that they "tweaked" the opening sequence to include photos with moving pictures in them? That was kind of interesting. The whole episode seemed almost as if it were already a new season to me...suddenly everyone's on Atkins, George Michael's got a new girlfriend, the return of Kitty (all 3 of her) and what was up with that whole bees/beads thing?
Great show though...close to flawless. Funny that Maeby's jealousy plan has once again backfired. At least Annyong is only related to her on paper! ;)

Day's not over fatty
If this show continues with the same quality for another year, this will go down as my favorite comedy ever.

If there was ever a DVD show, this is a DVD show.

Couldn't agree more. In fact, I just instructed a friend who is going to catch the show for the first time on reruns NOT to delete them after watching once. But to go back and watch again (or find the thread for that particular show here, read it, and THEN watch again).

Any idea if the upcoming DVD release will be "bleep"-free? There were two or three bleeps in last night's episode!
Posted by: rasheed
The bleeps to me (which are not done by Fox censors but are done in production based on the type of sound used) are intentional as part of the show from what I can tell and would not be as funny if aired without the bleep.

I think that's part of the 'reality' style (along with the absence of tripods) and will probably make it through to DVD.

Uh huh, or you could say TiVo show. Either way, it's a series you NEED to have archived in some manner because it's so fast & furious. It demands repeated viewings because there are so many things you miss. See, I need to watch it w/ someone who knows Atkins because I've avoided that fad like the plague.

Wasn't it "Date's not over fatty"? (Since buster had just shouted out "date".)

SparkleMotion: They have always had the moving "photos" in the opening sequence. If you have some older eps, go back and watch them :0)
I loved how this episode drew on so many things from the previous season. Particually one of the fake previews at the beginning of the season where George Sr. alludes to treason (after Visiting Ours?). Also, in Missing Kitty you had the boxes with "H. Maddas" on them, which we all thought was just a clever gag. Plus, in Shock and Aww, Michael keeps noticing in all the pictures of Saddam's palaces that the architecture and design are suprisingly similar to the Bluth's model home.
I also loved how things got turned on their head with the Georege Michael/Maeby/Annyong triangle. The scene with Maeby and Annyong in the fake previews was the same as Maeby and GM in the pilot - great!
And I think Annyong is just about my favorite character on AD. I hope he stays around for a long time!

As for the bleeps, I agree. They need to stay in. Its part of the documentary style. Its like both the swearing, and then the bleeps are done for realism.
It was "Date's not over, fatty", but either way, another line I forgot about that had me rolling.

My God! When they showed the same Wet-Bar behind the reporter that was right behind Michael & then the same metel trim falls off the stair landing that Gerge M. had previously knocked off ... I LOST IT!
AND the wide shot of the model home on the dune ... was the same shot we've seen all season of the Bluth home.
One of the BEST sitcoms in a VERY long time ... not since Seinfeld IMHO!

FOOTAGE NOT FOUND.
The footage not found clips were as hillarious as the Atkins subplot! I love this show. Hopefully it can hang on and do better in the ratings next year.
