Crossing Jordan June 6 Season Finale

Okay, let's forget about the fact that due in part to Jill Hennessy's pregnancy the producers aired this entire season out of sequence (and thus out of context  ) and when Ms. Hennessy is asked about it by fans she chuckles and says it's a good thing that viewers care enough to notice ( ). And let's forget about Ken Howard being offered such a significant cut in pay that he walked. And let's forget about what should have been the first episode of the season being aired last. And of course let's forget about all the quality shows that were cancelled while Crossing Jordan remains on the air.
Let's forget all that. Can anyone explain last night's episode to me? It was one of the most far fetched, ridiculous, convoluted, badly written (and acted) hours of television I can recall. What was the point? And how does it answer the question of how Jordan's mother was killed (as much of the promo material I read said it would)?
I can't be alone in feeling this way - can I?

I agree. Did the cop who got killed and Jordan's brothers father, kill her mother? Where did the brother live when he was growing up? Didn't anyone notice Jordans mom being pregnant and then the kid gone?
After waiting all season, I still have no answers.

Yeah, the entire sub-plot about the murder of Jordan's mother has become absurd. It's been dragging on far too long. If there ever was a coherent line through all that, it's long gone. I get the impression that the writers dont know what's going on. Jordan has become a manipulative, whining character that I find unpleasant. I watch the show for the supporting characters now. The Jennifer Finnegan character is more interesting to me on the several episodes she has been in.

I didn't think it was SO badly acted or written, but I am wickedly confused. I can't believe Jill Hennessey would say she's surprised people notice-I watched the WHOLE season and I can't tell you one thing that happened or was resolved. It was all wonky and out of order. And then at the very end, after you think they've solved the mother's murder thing, they A) give the brother an out to still be alive (which really, REALLY preturbed me) and B) Had Jordan's father say it was basically all something different than what we saw.
I really like this show but jeeeeeez. Cut out Jordan. Keep everyone else. They're the best part of the show. (Oh, and get Lily and Whatsisname back together. They're an interesting match and I HATE him with Wallcott.)

I just finished watching that show and you literally have expressed every emotion and question I had.

I'm glad to read this and think that maybe I'm not a victim of (slightly) early Alzheimers.
When I thought hard I could remember the scene with Jordan getting the drugged drink, but I knew it was long ago. Makes more sense that this was supposed to be first not last.
I figured I'd missed something along the way and tried my darndest to figure out what the hell was going on.

They did air last season's final episode last week, so that helped a little. Still.......

While I was watching, I kept thinking I must have missed this episode, and that it didn't make any sense, and "did I miss *last* week's episode maybe?"
Bad decision to air this out of order. It messed with the whole "ensemble" vibe they've cultivated this season.
