Newbie to wireless networks here with a few questions. I have a series 1 unit with a Turbonet card installed that I get my updates from via the regular hard line route. I am ready to switch to wireless and plan to purchase the D-Link DI-624 AirPlus Xtreme G router. From my reading and searching on here I have found that I will need a network bridge in order to get on the wireless network. Is there any recommended wireless bridges I should buy that will work with the router and the Tivo? How does this network bridge work? Do I run a short cat5 cable to it and then it talks to the wireless router? Is this the only other item I will need to buy in order to get everything hooked up and working?
