I have a svr 2000. That is not series2 correct? If not, I cannot use home media option, is this also correct? What is the differnce between seies1 and series2?

SVR-2000 is indeed just a series 1. HMO is available on Series 2's only.. The main differences between a series 1 and series 2 is that the 2 has USB ports, which allow for HMO, and is still receiving regular software updates, while the series 1's are basically frozen in time software-wise.

There are other hardware differences, but they are not really noticable to the end user.
