Was reading this article about the trouble in paradise and about the upcoming season. I LOL'd at this quote:
quote:
And that's not the only problem the couple is facing, as we discover in an episode when Jessica berates Nick for not opening her car door.
"You always opened doors for me when we first got married," she says.
"Well, when we first got married," he says, "I was getting laid."
Awesome. Nick is about the coolest guy on the planet. I love him.

I think she understands marriages as much as she understands quantum mechanics.

I wonder how much is real and how much is performance....

I actually like Nick. He seems like a normal guy. Can't wait for the new season. They crack me up. It's good summertime tv.

The best part of this show is seeing how a normal guy would deal with being married to a hot, but dumb, star.
And as any married man here can likely say, what he said was true!

THAT... is great! I might have thought it, but wouldn't have had the guts to say it. My opinion of Nick just went up quite a bit. I'd love to know her reply/expression.

This is a guilty pleasure of mine. These two are hysterical sometimes.

I watch it once in a while, but I can't stand to watch it live.. MTV commercial breaks are REALLY long. She does 'play' the ditzy girl quite well, however.

I'd like to know if he said that under his breath or if the conversation continued or what.

I thought this was intersting:
"The third season of "Newlyweds" has been filming off and on for about four months now, though Simpson and Lachey are taking a break while Simpson is on tour.
"It's so great not to have cameras follow every single move you make for once," Simpson says. "It gets hard."

Uhh, without this show, there is no WAY she would be as popular as she is now!

Gracious, could you imagine having to put up with her crap AND have to be with a body that hot and NOT get any? Geees, I don't know how he lasted till the wedding.
Reminds me of something I heard once, kinda my motto now :)
"No matter how good looking she is, somebody somewhere is sick of her S#!t"

Anyone know which episode the first married/getting laid quote is in? I just wanna watch that part, not the whole season.

This show cracks me up. It was hysterical when Jessica and her friend (who appears to be her intellectual equal) were trying to figure out what a "double" in baseball was. They went back and forth debating. Finally, the friend declares "I used to play softball, a double is when you get two outs at the same time".
Wow.

I dont like this season as much
as last season. I really do not
like the girl who is staying with
them.
Of course I will keep watching
but hope it gets better.

It was the very first show of the current season and the scene was at the very beginning before the opening. Only lasted 15 seconds or so.
