Hi there. One day...out of the blue...my UP button stopped working while I am playing music. I used to be able to use it to move between songs using the channel up/down but only my DOWN button works now :( :rolleyes: :mad:

Yes, batteries in the remote are fine and I have rebooted both Tivo and the PC as well as reinstalled the software. The up/down button works while watching photos but all I hear is the Tivo "gong" sound when pressing UP during music playback...it doesnt change tracks anymore.

Anyone else have this problem? It kinda stinks!

Are you using JavaHMO? I noticed this too after I installed it. I assumed it was not enabled in JavaHMO (it should be!) If you are using TiVo desktop, or if you previously had this working with JavaHMO, then I am stumped.

Thanks for the reply coldtoes, yes I am using JavaHMO. I probably didnt notice it at first but it is sorely missed when navigating songs.

Im a bit surprised more JavaHMO users didnt chime in with this. I have been hesitant to upgrade to the newer version (if it aint broke, dont fix it!).

Does anyone know if this true with 1.2 as well?

Hmm. Mine works again now, so it was obviously a temporary bug and not a problem with JavaHMO.

I believe TiVo rebooted recently - have you tried rebooting yours? That might fix it.
