Connecting Scientific Atlantic 3100HD, Sony WEGA and TIVO Series 2?

I just exchanged boxes from my cable guys so now I'm trying to connect the new Scientific Atlantic 3100HD cable box to my Series 2 TIVO and my Sony 32" WEGA and my Sony VCR.

Everything was working with the old Scientific Atlanta digital box but it wasn't wired correctly because the S-Video cable out of the TIVO would not work, so the pic was always great but less than what's possible.

The WEGA has the Red, Green, Blue connections so I've connected those and the sound directly from the 3100HD to the Sony, now I can't figure out how to connect the TIVO and my VCR.

I have the premium digital package and the special HD package of six channels with HBO-HD etc. I do understand that the TIVO won't record in HD.

Our cable people don't know much at all about HDTV it's so new here in Hawaii.

Wiring schematic?

Thanks,

Kerry

I have a similar setup (but with a different TV). I have several selectable inputs on the back of my TV. The HD box gets the component inputs for when I'm watching HD content live. The TiVo connects to a second set of s-video inputs for when I'm watching TiVo at a lower resolution. I use some switch boxes to switch between the HD box and the DVD (usually they are left on HD) and I use another s-video in from the DVD to show DVDs in 4:3 ratio (all my old movies). The VCR connects with old style compostite cables.

I had the TiVO get input from the SciAt box for a while through s-video, but I eventually decided that I'd really rather watch HD content in HD and not downressed to s-video. So I don;t use the SciAm box with the TiVo anymore. I connect it straight to the cable and satisfy myself with the basic cable analog channels on the TiVo.

Thanks for replying Royster,

I don't do well with written descriptions, I'm great at following diagrams. :=)

With aloha,

Kerry
