Hey all, I've been enjoying the new HMO features for the past week and it has been functioning flawlessly, except for some minor quirks, until today.

This morning I wanted to listen to some of my MP3's and the TiVo wasn't seeing my computer. I played around a bit and found out that last night the connection to the service failed. I tested the connection today and it continues to fail.

So far I've powered cycled all of my networking gear and restarted the TiVo as well as check the USB adapter hooked to the TiVo and none of that has helped. The connections all look good but it simply isn't picking up the TiVo. My router is connected good as well but the port where the TiVo is connected isn't lit up like the rest; I've tried switching something else to the same port and it works great it's just for some odd reason it isn't working with the TiVo. Everything worked great until today!

Any ideas what could be going on? any more troubleshooting steps I could try? please help. Thanks!

what models of TiVo? USB adapter? wired/wireless?

oops, sorrry about the lack of info. I'm using a TiVo brand series 2 on a wired network using the Linksys USB200m adapter.

Could you have maybe reversed the USB cable when re-seating it? Obviously it was OK while it was working.

I know there are models where the USB cable is physically the same on both sides but has a right and a wrong way to plug it in. Not sure if this is one, though.

I'm not sure but I doubt it. I could give it a shot though.

I got it back up and working. I don't know what happened but it mysteriously started working right when I was on the phone waiting for TiVo tech support. The technician and I were both at a loss for this but hey, it's working.:)
