Plasma Turns Pink

I have noticed a strange phenomena with my HDTivo and plasma (Panasonic TH42PX25).

On occasion, when I turn on the television the picture from the HDTivo, going through the HDMI, has a pink haze over the entire screen. This only happens to the HDMI input -- other devices hooked up (UTV, Dish Network, VCR, DVD) don't have this problem.

When I change the HDTivo output from 1080i to 480i, and then to 480p or 1080i again, the picture returns to normal.

Has anyone experienced this problem?

Is is serious or just a nuisance?

Or could it be a problem with the plasma.

It sounds like a pin problem... either with the HDMI cable, the HDMI input (TV) or Output (TiVo) try a new cable b/f anything else (also see if any pins look damaged on the cable or output jack.

I've had some probs with the hdmi. I just got a plasma a few days ago and use the cable. I notice if I change Rez (1080i to 480i to 480p or something like that) then it sometimes can't catch up and the screen stays black until I change it again. Sometimes it has given me a red tint for a second then normal. I'm afraid the port wont last much longer based on some of the HDMI problems I've been reading.
