I just got a series 2 tivo off of ebay last week. It is about 10 months old. I only have the basic subscription but I've been seeing posts that new series 2 tivos come with HMO, does anyone know if I can access HMO using my tivo without paying for the tivo plus subscription? Thanks

TiVo branded Series 2 units are not able to have TiVo Basic. The units that can have TiVo Basic are the DVD Combination units from Toshiba and Pioneer. In order to have HMO, those units must be signed up for the TiVo Plus service.

Yeah, I have a toshiba sd-h400. Oh well I will have to do without HMO, not worth the money just so I can play music through my tivo. Thanks
